The Disassembly function pertains to a feature enabling users to deconstruct a finalized product or item into its constituent components or ingredients.

This process serves several critical purposes:

Maintaining an accurate inventory:

Disassembly facilitates the precise tracking of component quantity and type within the inventory. By ensuring each component is accurately recorded, it minimizes discrepancies in stock management.

Consider a restaurant that includes a burger on its menu, comprising a bun, patty, tomato, and sauce. During the burger preparation process, the POS system permits the input of the number of completed burgers through its production feature.

Upon a customer ordering a burger, the POS system automatically decrements the burger components from the inventory. Towards the day's end, if there are surplus burgers and the establishment wishes to reintegrate the remaining ingredients into the inventory, the Disassembly function empowers the restaurant staff to reverse this process. This action restores the ingredients to the inventory and adjusts the stock levels accordingly.

Procedure for Disassembly Function

• Begin by logging into the Back Office Webportal.
• Navigate to the main menu and select "Inventory."
• Proceed to the "Productions" section.
• Locate and select the arrow button adjacent to "Add Production."
• Click on the "Add Disassembly" button.
• Choose the product from the dropdown menu.
• Specify the disassembly Quantity and confirm by clicking the + button.
• Finally, save the changes by clicking the "Save" button.

In a Point of Sale (POS) system, the Disassembly function enables users to deconstruct a finished product or item into its individual components. This process stands in contrast to the Production function, which involves assembling parts to create a finished product.
