Rounding
The POS System offers users the flexibility to choose between two rounding options:
standard rounding and manual rounding.
- Rounding
The bill total is rounded to the nearest multiple of the smallest denomination, which may result in a total that is either higher or lower than the unrounded amount. This rounding adjustment is specifically applied to the total bill amount.
For instance, if the total bill amounts to $9.90, the system will automatically round up the total to $10 and generate a receipt reflecting this rounded figure for the payment transaction.
- Manual Rounding
- The Manual Rounding feature in the Astana POS System offers users the flexibility to adjust the bill total to a specific value, enabling tailored customization beyond standard rounding intervals and regulations.
- This functionality becomes invaluable in situations involving intricate calculations incorporating taxes, discounts, or unique business criteria that necessitate manual fine-tuning.
Let's consider an example:
Item Price: RM100
Tax: 10%
Discount: 15%
- After performing the calculations, the resulting total is RM93.50. Nevertheless, if the user prefers a rounded figure of RM93, they can utilize the Manual Rounding feature. This functionality allows users to override automated calculations and set a specific total according to their needs.
- Furthermore, this feature caters to businesses in countries such as Bahrain, where financial transactions entail three decimal places. The ability to manually adjust the total amount proves particularly advantageous in regions with distinct decimal regulations, guaranteeing adherence to local financial standards.
