How to Create Order Types

In certain businesses, customers may have various choices available to them. For instance, a restaurant might offer dining in, takeout, and delivery options.

The Order Types feature pertains to a customizable functionality that allows businesses to categorize and oversee various transaction scenarios based on their unique industry needs.

• Within a healthcare environment such as a hospital, Order Types could involve Channeling, Outpatient Department (OPD), Laboratory services, Wards, and other categories, reflecting the diverse range of services offered.

Step By Step Process

1.Log in to the POS Back Office Webportal.

2.Navigate to the main menu and select "Settings."

3.Access the "Features" section.

4.Enable the "Order Types" option by toggling it on.

5.Save the changes.

Once "Order Types" is activated, it will appear as a sub-menu in the Settings section.

6.Choose "Order Types" from the menu.

7.Select either Delivery, Dine-in, or Takeaway.

8.Turn the status to ON.

9.Save the changes by clicking on "Update."

Upon clicking the 'update' button, "Order Types" will be downloaded to the POS app. Users can then select the appropriate "Order Type" from the main interface. When generating a receipt, ensure the correct "Order Type" is selected to have it printed on the receipt.

To set a default order type, activate the default option in the Backoffice under the order types section located in the Settings page.
