The "Production" function within the Point of Sale (POS) System offers businesses a seamless process to integrate finished goods into the system. This essential functionality facilitates the efficient management of raw materials, recipes, finished products, and inventory. By maintaining distinct records for raw materials/recipes and finished goods/items, businesses can optimize their operations and bolster inventory supervision effortlessly

To exemplify the functionality of the "Production" feature, let's consider the scenario of preparing chicken fried rice using ingredients like chicken, rice, and carrots. For each serving of fried rice, specific quantities are required, such as 100g of rice, 25g of chicken, and 10g of carrots. Upon completion of the preparation process, users can accurately input the quantity of fried rice packets produced based on the available stocks. For instance, if 20 packets of fried rice are prepared, the "Production" feature allows for precise recording of this quantity in the system. This meticulous approach enables businesses to effectively oversee their inventory, monitor raw material usage, and maintain a reliable record of their finished goods.

The "Production" function in the POS System offers several benefits to businesses:

• Activate Production Feature: Enable the Production feature within the POS system to effectively oversee and manage your inventory.

Upon finishing these steps, you will be able to seamlessly incorporate finished goods stock into the system, facilitating the monitoring of raw materials, composite products, and comprehensive inventory management.

1. Create Ingredient Product

An "Ingredient Product" denotes a distinct item or component utilized as an ingredient in the creation of another product.

1.1 Login to Back Office > Select “Products” from main menu > Go to the “Product list” > Click the “ Add Product” button

1.2 Enter the ingredient details

• Enter the ingredient name.
• Select the appropriate measurement from the "sold by each" dropdown menu.
• Enable the "Ingredient Product" option under Additional options.
• Input the current stock quantity of the ingredient.
• Click the "Save" button.

1. Create a Composite Product

A composite product is formed by consolidating various individual products or ingredients into a single bundled offering.

2.1 Login to Back Office > Select “Products” from main menu > Go to the “Product list” > Click the “ Add Product” button

2.2 Enter the composite product details

• Enter the composite product name.
• Enable the "Composite Product" option under Additional options.
• Select the "Use Production" option if managing finished goods stocks.
• Add component products individually.
• Save your changes by clicking the "Save" button.

(The regular unit cost of the composite product will be calculated based on the quantity and cost of all components or ingredients.)

1. Use Production Feature / Add Finished Goods Stocks

The "Production" function of the Point of Sale (POS) System enables businesses to seamlessly incorporate their completed products into the system. This functionality assists in monitoring the materials utilized for manufacturing products and keeping tabs on the inventory of both raw materials and finished goods. Consequently, it streamlines the process of inventory management, ensuring efficiency in operations.

3.1 Login to Back Office > Select “Inventory” from the main menu > Go to the “Productions” > Click the “Add Production” button

3.2 Select the product from dropdown

1. Enter Stock / Quantity
2. Click the “Save” button

1. Enable Production Feature For Already Created Composite Products

4.1 Login to POS Back Office > Select “Products” from the main menu > Go to the “Product list”

4.2 Search and select the correct Composite Product

1. Click the product name and go to product edit
2. Tick ON “Use Production” under the composite product section
3. Click the “Update” button

1. Disassembly Feature

The disassembly function enables users to deconstruct a finalized product into its individual components, serving as the inverse of the Production function. This practice aids in maintaining precise records of both the quantity and variety of components within the inventory. By ensuring each component is accurately logged, it mitigates the occurrence of discrepancies in stock levels.

Ex:

• The restaurant provides a burger comprising a bun, patty, tomato, and sauce. During burger preparation, the POS system enables inputting the quantity of completed burgers in the production feature.
• Upon a customer ordering a burger, the POS system deducts it from the burger inventory automatically. Should there be surplus ingredients at day's end that need to be re-inventoried, the Disassembly function permits staff to reverse the process, returning the ingredients to inventory and making necessary adjustments.

5.1 Log in to Back Office > Select “Inventory” from the main menu > Go to the “Productions”

• Click the arrow button near “Add Production”

5.2 Select the product from dropdown > Enter the disassembly Quantity and click + button

• Click the “Save” button
