1. About these terms
Astana Town ("the platform") is operated by Astana Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd (Company No. 202001004296 / 1360616-V), the company behind Astana POS. These terms cover everything at town.astanabiz.com — the Academy and its certificates, the Community forum, the Job Board and the Software Directory. By using the platform you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
2. The Job Board — Astana is not the employer (Penafian Liabiliti)
This is the most important section on this page, so it is written plainly. Astana Town is a listing platform only. Job vacancies on the Job Board are written and posted by independent merchants and businesses. Astana does not employ, hire, engage, place or supply workers through this platform. Specifically: • Astana is not the employer of anyone who finds work through the platform, and is not a party to any employment relationship, contract, offer or negotiation that results from it. • Astana is not involved in any hiring decision. Merchants decide who they interview and who they hire. • Astana does not verify that a posted vacancy is genuine, that the pay or conditions described are accurate, that the merchant will hire anyone, or that any applicant is suitable, qualified or truthful — beyond the Astana certificates we issue ourselves, described in section 3. • Astana is not responsible for, and accepts no liability for, any dispute, loss, injury, unpaid wages, contract, termination, or any other matter arising between a merchant and an applicant or employee. If something goes wrong between a merchant and an applicant, it is a matter between those two parties. We will help where we reasonably can, but we are not a party to it. Merchants posting a vacancy are responsible for the accuracy of what they post and for complying with Malaysian employment law, including all applicable rules on non-discrimination and fair hiring.
3. Certificates
An Astana certificate states one thing: that the named person completed the required lessons and passed the assessment for that level on the platform, on the date shown. It is not a guarantee of a person's ability, conduct, honesty or suitability for any role, and it is not a recommendation by Astana of that person to any employer. Every certificate carries a serial number that anyone can check at town.astanabiz.com/verify — no account needed. That public record is the only authoritative source. A certificate may be revoked if it was obtained improperly or issued in error; a revoked certificate shows as revoked at that address.
4. The Community
Posts in the Community are written by their authors, not by Astana, and do not represent Astana's views. You keep ownership of what you post; by posting you allow us to display and store it on the platform. Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not post other people's personal information. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
5. The Software Directory
Directory entries describe whether third-party software works with Astana POS. Those assessments are made by Astana in good faith and are correct to the best of our knowledge on the date shown against each entry. Third-party products change without notice. An entry is a guide, not a warranty, and it is not an endorsement of, or a partnership with, the product named. Please confirm anything you intend to rely on directly with that vendor.
6. Your account
Keep your password to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. Give accurate information about yourself. Do not use someone else's identity, and do not use the platform to break the law or to disrupt it for other people. You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep the platform available and correct, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content on it is complete or current. To the fullest extent Malaysian law allows, Astana is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost income, profit, opportunity or data, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform develops. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
